Biome -- a grouping of the world’s flora and fauna into a large ecological province or region; also referred to as bioregion

What is flora? plant life, especially all the plants found in a particular country, region, or time regarded as a group
What is fauna? the animal life of a particular region or period, considered as a whole.

6)Tundra (Alpine)-	Tundra comes from a Finnish word tunturia, meaning “treeless plain”; it is the coldest of the biomes.	Almost no trees due to the short growing season and permafrost; lichens, mosses, grasses, sedges, shrubs.		Regions south of the ice caps of the Arctic and extending across North America, Europe, and Siberia (high mountaintops)

These forests mostly consist of conifers, trees that grow needles instead of leaves and cones instead of flowers.
